Police in Oyo State have arrested a self-proclaimed pastor, Peter Oluwalolese, for allegedly killing a female member of his church for ritual purposes. The suspect, who leads the “God Has Done It” church in the Apata area of Ibadan, reportedly committed the act to enhance his congregation’s size.
A viral video circulating online captures Oluwalolese confessing to the crime. In the video, he admitted to using the victim, identified as Adijat, for rituals intended to attract more church members. He further revealed that a second body was later provided to him for the same purpose.
The disturbing incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with many expressing outrage over the abuse of religious authority for sinister motives. Police authorities are continuing their investigation into the case, which has drawn widespread public condemnation.
