Amotekun apprehends two dealers of Indian hemp.

The recent operation carried out by the officers of the Ekiti State Amotekun Corps resulted in the arrest of two suspected Indian hemp dealers, Alade Kehinde and Dada Kehinde.

The officers recovered a total of 108 bags of cannabis sativa during the operation, which took place in the border town of Emure Ekiti in Ekiti State.

The suspects, both residents of Owo Local Government Area in Ondo State, were intercepted by Amotekun officers during a routine night patrol in the Emure Local Government Area. Despite attempts to bribe the officers with a sum of N500,000, the suspects were apprehended and the contraband substance, as well as the vehicle used for transportation, were impounded.

Upon interrogation, the suspects confessed to their involvement in the illegal activity and revealed that they were transporting the cannabis sativa to an undisclosed location in Ondo State. The suspects have been handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Ekiti State for further investigation.
