Atalanta legend Papu Gómez has praised Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman for his insatiable hunger for goals, highlighting the player’s remarkable growth within the team.
In an interview with Tutto Atalanta, Gómez expressed admiration for Lookman’s impressive form in both the previous and current seasons, noting that the Super Eagles star is a completely different player from himself. While Gómez was known for his assists, he emphasized that Lookman is always driven to score.
“He’s not like me. He’s hungry for goals; I was hungrier for assists,” said the Argentine. He added that Lookman’s evolution in team play is evident, as the winger has shown greater communication with his teammates and integrated well into Atalanta’s system.
