NIGERIA’S First lady, governors’s wives partner on “renewed Hope Initiative”

The First Lady of the Federal Republic of NIGERIA, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has pledged to reach the grassroots in all the states of the Federation to uplift and ease the burden of Nigerians through her pet project, The Renewed Hope Initiative.

Oluremi Tinubu said this at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja, where she met with wives of governors to acquaint them on the mission of the initiative.

Nigeria’s First Lady, said all wives of governors are on board to support the Renewed Hope initiative as campaigns are now over and all hands must be on deck to build Nigeria which she described as a collective effort of everyone regardless of political affiliation.

She added that with the recent announcement of food scarcity by the Federal Government, the renewed hope initiative will do its best to compliment efforts of the government to relieve the burdens faced especially at the grassroots level.

The wife of the Kwara State Governor Mrs Olufolake Abdulrazak said after listening to the mission of the Initiative they are all ready to support the First Lady especially reaching the grassroots.

She also added that the initiative, will not interfere with their personal projects.

The Wives of Governors will elect a Renewed Hope Initiative Zonal Coordinator and choose issues to tackle in their respective states.

Present at the meeting were Wives of Governors, the Senior SSA on Strategy and Policy, Mr Wahab Alewiye, the Special Adviser on Media Mrs Busola Kukoyi.
