A pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Olusegun Oluleye, has received commendation in Morocco after returning 430 dirhams (approximately N192,000) that was mistakenly overpaid to him by a currency exchange service.
Oluleye, an employee of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), was celebrated for his integrity during a workshop hosted by North East Consultancy Limited. Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, Oluleye recounted that the incident took place at a bureau de change in Morocco.
Upon discovering the error, he immediately informed Ahmed Gombe, the CEO of North East Consultancy Limited. Gombe confirmed the overpayment and arranged for the funds to be returned to the shop owner.
“I am always content with what I have and believe in returning what doesn’t belong to me,” Oluleye said, urging Nigerians to embrace honesty and represent their country positively abroad.
Gombe commended Oluleye as the “outstanding participant” of the workshop, praising his “exemplary conduct.” The Moroccan Tourism Agency and local police also praised Oluleye’s actions, describing him as a “true ambassador” of Nigeria.
