The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governors Forum, and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has charged President Bola Tinubu with assembling a knowledgeable team like he did as governor of Lagos State.
Mohammed said Tinubu needs to assemble a team like the one he had in Lagos State comprising former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; ex-Minister Kayode Fayemi and not those currently praising him blindly.
He insisted that the president had failed to ensure development in Nigeria as he did in Lagos State.
Speaking with the Newsmen, the governor decried Tinubu’s refusal to heed advice on his administration’s policies affecting Nigerians.
The PDP chieftain said he had high hopes that Tinubu would turn the tides around for good in Nigeria but has been left disappointed.
He said: “I had high hopes that when he becomes president he will bring the same magic he brought to Lagos. But I was mistaken.
“When I said his policies aren’t working, I was speaking as an opposition member. We can’t be expected to support him blindly as his party members do.
“President Tinubu needs to show empathy and apply the same skills he used in Lagos on a national level. He had a strong team before-like former Vice President Osinbajo and former Minister Fayemi-where are they now?
“He should bring back knowledgeable people, not just those who say “ranka dede” (blind praise).
“The government’s economic policies, particularly around fuel and the welfare of the people, are not working. I’m saying this modestly-our monetary policies are failing. President Tinubu needs to bring in capable people to work with him, not me specifically, but experts from across the country.”
