North Korea has fired a long ranged missile assumed to be an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) into Japan’s sea on Wednesday, July 12.
This followed after Pyongyang threatened to shoot down recent US spy plane air raiding its territory.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s sister, Kim Yo-jong who made the accusation said if same activity is repeated by the US force there would be consequences.
The ICBM flew over 1000 meters for more than 70 minutes before landing in the Sea of Japan according to Japan’s Defense Ministry.
South Korean and US officials met immediately after Wednesday’s launch, issuing a statement reiterating their “strengthened” joint defence.

In April, a new ICBM was tested and is considered as Pyongyang powerful missile so far as they continue with its mislle launches.
A North Korea expert at Ewha University in Seoul described Pyongyang launch as a disruptive measure it used against diplomatic coordination it perceives as threat, referring the statement to the Nato summit where South Korea and Japan leaders were to meet
Despite UN sanctions, Kim Jong-Un has vowed to increase his country’s production of nuclear war heads and development of more powerful weapons.
