A tragic incident occurred in Birnin Kudu Local Government Area of Jigawa State, where a building collapse resulted in the death of three teenage boys belonging to the same family.
The Jigawa State Police Command confirmed the incident, stating that three other individuals managed to survive the collapse.
The father of the children, Ahmad Isah of Kofar Bai quarters, reported the incident at the Birnin Kudu Division.
Upon receiving the report, a team of policemen and Good Samaritans rushed to the scene to conduct a rescue operation. Seven individuals were rescued and promptly taken to Birnin Kudu General Hospital for medical treatment.
Unfortunately, three of the individuals, identified as Khalifa Ahmad (13 years old), Tijjani Ahmad (12 years old), and Rabiu Ahmad (12 years old), were declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
The bodies of the deceased were handed over to their family for burial arrangements, while the remaining four survivors were admitted to the hospital and are currently undergoing treatment.
