Nigerian singer Darkoo has opened up on her relationship with colleague, Ayra Starr.
Darkoo disclosed this during her latest guest appearance on the Uncut Podcast, Darkoo noted that Ayra Starr is like a sister and not an industry friend.
“I have some friends in the industry, I don’t think I am looking for friends in the industry, just friends in general. I feel like I was able to find that in Ayra Starr, I don’t see her as an industry friend but I see her as my sister.
“Why we merge so well is because we are very alike but what I really love about her is that she is so respectful. You can just tell that she is a proper Naija girl. By the way, she sees life. She also teaches each other a lot of stuff and I love that type of relationship.
“In terms of going out with people, I won’t say that they are my friends. I’m a very friendly person, so it’s easy to make that type of friendship but it doesn’t go further than just seeing each other and DMing each other. I feel like distance friendship is fine because of see finish is a real thing. People start to disrespect you when they get too close and too comfortable with you.”
