Controversial social media personality Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has been released from prison following a six-month sentence for naira mutilation.
Bobrisky regained his freedom from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre on Monday around 10 a.m.
Footage that has since gone viral shows Bobrisky leaving the prison in a luxury car, accompanied by two friends.
Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos had sentenced Bobrisky, ruling that the sentence was to be served without the option of a fine.
The judge noted that the jail term commenced on March 24, the day of Bobrisky’s arrest.
