In an official statement released by the Osun APC Publicity Secretary, Wole Adunola, it has been confirmed that Tajudeen Lawal has been affirmed as the substantive Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State. This decision was made during a special session of the State Executive Committee meeting held in Osogbo.
The meeting was attended by local party chairmen from across the state, as well as members of the State Working Committee. The statement highlighted Lawal’s exceptional leadership, noting his efforts in maintaining the party’s structure at various levels within the state. It also acknowledged Lawal’s extensive experience in party administration and grassroots mobilization, which has significantly strengthened the party.
Additionally, the resolution recognized the leadership direction of Bisi Akande, the immediate past governor Adegboyega Oyetola, and the elder council of the party in the state.
Before this confirmation, Lawal had been serving in an acting capacity following the departure of the former chairman, now Owa of Igbajo, Oba Gboyega Famodun.
