Renowned Nollywood actor and producer Kevin Ikeduba has strongly condemned industry misconduct, stating he would never exchange movie roles for sex.
In a recent interview on Hip TV’s “Trending,” Ikeduba adamantly declared that he would rather die than cast unqualified actors in return for sexual favors.
During the interview, Ikeduba voiced his frustration with the prevalent unprofessionalism within Nollywood and underscored his dedication to upholding high standards in his work.
“The movie industry is very big. What works for A may not work for B,” Ikeduba stated. “The Kevin Ikeduba that people know would rather die than give a girl a role for sex because I am very passionate about what I do. So, most times, when I meet mediocre people on set, it hurts me. I will never ever do that.”
In a candid moment during the interview, Ikeduba also revealed the alternative career he would have pursued if he were not an actor. When the host, Pascal, asked, “If you weren’t an actor, what would you be doing?” Ikeduba responded, “I would be a drug baron if I wasn’t an actor.”
Kevin Ikeduba, who made his Nollywood debut in 2000, is best known for his roles portraying notorious criminals in various films.
