Cardi B surpasses Nicki Minaj in credited sales units in the US.

Rapper Cardi B has surpassed her rival Nicki Minaj in credited units sold in the United States, becoming the highest-certified female rapper in US history.

According to information from the Recording Industry of America (RIA), Cardi has sold 107 million units, while Minaj has sold 106 million units.

It is noted that Minaj has sold more records overall, but many of her hits were as featured artists and not credited to her on the RIA site.

In other music news, Alicia Keys has achieved her first-ever diamond single in the U.S. with her 2009 collaboration with JAY-Z, ‘Empire State of Mind’, being certified Diamond by the RIA for selling 10 million units in the United States.

This marks JAY-Z’s third diamond single, with previous hits including ‘N****s In Paris’ with Kanye West and ‘Umbrella’ with Rihanna.

Across the Atlantic, Eminem has received the Brit Billion Award for being the best-selling American rapper in the United Kingdom, with an impressive 7 billion UK career streams.

The BRIT Awards recognized Eminem’s achievement, tweeting a photo of him holding the award and praising his success.

Eminem, a four-time BRIT Award winner, continues to showcase his impact and popularity in the music industry.
