Men from the Delta State Police Command killed a 58-year-old suspected robber on Friday in Warri.
The suspect was a “armourer” and member of the feared “Bobone” gang, which terrorized the oil metropolis and its surroundings.
DSP Bright Edafe, a spokesman for Delta Police, said that the 58-year-old suspect was captured and that an AK-47 gun and magazines were confiscated.
According to the statement, the suspect’s confession led investigators to the gang members’ hideout on Chevron Road in Warri, where the 58-year-old was fatally shot during a shootout as he attempted to flee.
