President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and Senator Adedayo Adeyeye as the Chairman of the NPA Board.
According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu expects the appointees to bring excellence to their roles, enhancing port services and industry outcomes.
Dr. Dantsoho holds a Ph.D. in Maritime Technology from Liverpool John Moores University, UK, and a Master’s in International Transport from Cardiff University of Wales, UK. He has previously held various positions at the NPA, including Assistant General Manager, Technical Assistant to the Managing Director, Port Manager of Onne Port, and Principal Manager of Tariff and Billing.
Senator Adeyeye, the newly appointed Board Chairman, is an experienced lawyer, journalist, and politician. He has previously served as the Minister of State for Works and as a Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District.
