American rapper Travis Scott was arrested in Miami on Thursday on suspicion of disorderly intoxication and trespassing following an altercation on a boat.
The incident occurred at the Miami Beach Marina, where police responded to reports of a disturbance on a yacht. Officers observed Scott shouting at individuals on the vessel and detected a strong smell of alcohol on his breath.
Authorities instructed the rapper to leave the dock, which he initially did. However, according to the police report, he walked away while yelling obscenities at the occupants of the yacht. Five minutes later, officers spotted Scott attempting to return to the yacht.
When confronted, Scott allegedly disregarded officers’ commands, becoming erratic and disturbing local residents. He was subsequently detained by police.
The report states that Scott later admitted to consuming alcohol, reportedly saying, “It’s Miami.”
