Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, has reaffirmed India’s commitment to becoming a global leader in semiconductor and electronics manufacturing.
Continuing his role in the Modi 3.0 government, Vaishnaw emphasized the importance of a tech-driven agenda to enhance India’s position as a major technology and digital hub.
Upon assuming charge of the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) on Tuesday, Vaishnaw highlighted the transformative impact of the Digital India initiatives launched over the past decade.
He cited key programs such as Jan Dhan and Aadhaar as pivotal in empowering citizens and driving significant nationwide changes.
“Technology has brought profound changes to the lives of millions, especially the youth, who now face a future filled with opportunities driven by new-age technologies,” Vaishnaw stated.
