Without hesitation, Stevens mentioned Tems as his top choice. He praised Tems for her unique voice, expressing that he was captivated by her music.
Stevens specifically mentioned his admiration for Tems’ rendition of Bob Marley’s “No Woman, No Cry” in the Black Panther movie, describing her as incredible. In addition to Tems, the Consul General also listens to other Afrobeats artists such as Asake, Fireboy, Davido, and others. He mentioned that he has had the opportunity to meet artists like Fireboy, Asake, and Davido, describing them as great individuals.
While he hasn’t met Burna Boy yet, Stevens highlighted that he appreciates Nigerian artists and enjoys listening to their music. However, Tems stands out to him as someone he can tune in to anytime.
