54 stolen livestock was recover by the police in yobe

Yobe NigeriaThe recovery of 54 stolen livestock including 47 sheep, 4 rams, 2 goats, and 1 donkey from suspected thieves in the state was announced by State Police Command in yobe.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, SP Dungus Abdulkarim, said a 38-year-old suspect, Ibrahim Umaru of Jammel Village, Jacusko local government area was arrested stated that on December 5, 2024, in possession of the stolen livestock during patrol at Babbangida, Tarmuwa LGA.

He said the suspect allegedly stole the livestock from the Nigeria-Chad border area.

The Command now appealed to individuals that lost their domestic animals to come forward with credible evidence of ownership to claim them.

Police said the appeal followed the inability to identify the owners of the livestock despite local information circulation in that regard.
