2Baba Regrets Remarks, Apologizes to Family and Fans

Lagos, Nigeria:   Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has publicly apologized to his wife Natasha, their children, and his fans following widespread backlash over remarks suggesting that men are not biologically designed to be faithful to one woman.

The singer made the controversial statement during a recent podcast, asserting that while a man can deeply love one woman, it is impossible for him to be sexually exclusive due to biological factors. “A man is not built to sexually be with one woman. A man can love one woman die, but it’s impossible for a man to sexually be with only one woman. It’s the biology of man,” he said.

The comments sparked significant online criticism, with many accusing him of condoning infidelity, though some described the statement as a blunt reflection of reality.

In a video posted on Tuesday night, 2Baba expressed regret over his words, calling the remark “unlegendary” and issuing a heartfelt apology. “I know I messed up with what I said and I know I’m going to get cancelled because of it. I apologize to my fans and most importantly, my wife, the love of my life, Natasha, and also my kids. I’m terribly sorry. That’s not who I am,” he stated.
