2027: Six political parties in Kaduna unite to overthrow APC

In Kaduna, six political parties gathered to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress in the upcoming 2027 general elections. The summit, organized by the African Democratic Congress and attended by the New Nigeria People’s Party, People’s Redemption Party, All Progressives Grand Alliance, Social Democratic Party, KOWA Party, Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), and Coalition of United Political Parties, focused on the importance of a strong political party structure for sustaining democracy.

Chairman Lawal Nalado expressed concern over the hardships faced by Nigerians and emphasized the need for addressing the country’s issues and moving forward. He clarified that the summit aimed to discuss solutions to problems and mobilize voters at the grassroots level with the goal of promoting political enlightenment and voting for candidates who can improve society’s social and economic status.

The National Chairman of PRP, Falalu Bello, highlighted the importance of effective voter mobilization and addressing challenges such as inadequate resources, lack of internal democracy, transparency issues, and interference from the ruling party. Ahmed Tujjani, chairman of ADC and IPAC in Kaduna State, stated that the summit was intended to address socio-economic and political issues and propose practical solutions, rather than focusing on forming coalitions or mergers for the 2027 elections.

He mentioned that a communique would be issued to outline solutions to the problems discussed at the summit.
