Nigerian music superstars Davido, Rema and Burna Boy were among the top winners at the 2023 Trace Awards held in Kigali, Rwanda on Saturday.
Rema and Davido emerged as the top winners, each taking home two awards.
Rema won song of the Year award for his global hit track, “Calm Down,” and shared the Best Global African Artist award with Nomcebo.
Davido, clinched the ‘Best Male’ and ‘Best Collaboration’ awards with Musa Keys on “Unavailable”
While, Burna Boy’s “Love Damini” took home the Album of the Year award.
Similarly, Yemi Alade’s ”Baddie” won the Best Music Video’
The awards also recognized the contributions of veterans and change makers in the Music industry. 2Face received a Lifetime Achievement Award, while Mr Eazi was honored with the Change Maker Award.
