Bandits have attacked the residence of the Chairman of the Zamfara State Haji Commission, ZSHC, Alhaji Musa Malaha in Gusau, the state capital, killing one of his sons, Abdulmunaf, and his gateman.
It was gathered that the hoodlums also abducted another of his sons, Mu’awiyya Lawali and attempted to kidnap the ZHSC chairman but failed.
Report also stated that the bandits abducted other residents in the area, although they are yet to demand for ransom.
According to a resident, Ishiaku Umaru, the terrorists stormed the chairman’s residence in the early hours of Thursday and started shooting sporadically.
“The shootings woke us up as everyone in the area started running helter skelter. Nobody can exactly say how many people were killed or kidnapped.
“But it was certain that one of the chairman’s sons and his watchman were killed while another of his sons was kidnapped,” the resident said.
He disclosed that most of the kidnap victims are mainly women and children.
